How To Kick The Procrastination Habit
By admin | April 22, 2008
If you are like me procrastination is a major hindrance to your business.
Have you ever kicked your self because you missed the boat on an opportunity? Me too, and I vowed to not let it happen anymore.
I started trying different things to help break my procrastination habit.
Although I was concentrating on not procrastinating, I still was. Then one bay I was listening to a teleseminar with Alex Mandossian and he suggested using a timer.
All I can say is wow! Since implementing a timer to my day my productivity has went up ten fold.
Here is what I do…
I use a desk top timer you can get free here…

Next I assign a time limit for task for the day between 10 and 50 minutes.
Then I simply work on the task for up to 50 minutes and the I take a break of 5-10 minutes.
It works wonders for me.

Hi Shannon,
thanks for the timer link, cool idea!

I tend to use my need for a cup of tea, smoke or toilet break as a break point, but it’s not as “focused” as actually setting a timer…
cheers,

Hey Matt,
No problem. It has done wonders for me. It really puts you into gear when your feet are being held to the fire so to speak.
