Do Life’s Trials Strengthen Us

Every Friday night my wife and I meet with a small group of people we study the Bible and share fellowship with. We started something new last week, and that was to memorize a verse from the Bible every single week. Well, we are studying the book of James, so that is where the first verse comes from.

Each week I would like to share my memory verse with you. So without further ado here we go…

James 1: 2-3 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.

I was pretty excited to memorize this first verse. It is so true when it comes to life, as is everything with the Bible. We are all going to face trials within our life. But, it’s with those trials that our faith becomes stronger and stronger. The devil is evil and wicked and will do anything to pull us from our faith. But, I’m now equipped with one more weapon to defend myself with from day-to-day.
