What Is Mindset?

According to Wikipedia a mindset is this…

A mindset, in decision theory and general systems theory, refers to a set of assumptions, methods or notions held by one or more groups of people which is so established that it creates a powerful incentive within these people or groups to continue to adopt or accept prior behaviors, choices or tools. The phenomenon of cognitive biases also sometimes described as mental ownership, “groupthink” or a “paradigm”, and it is often difficult to counteract its effects upon analysis and decision making processes.

Wow, that is a mouthful. Now, let’s take a look at what it means here.

It’s pretty simple actually. Within this blog and within my teachings the mindset is referring to what can be controlled by your state of mind.

Whether it be motivation, goal setting, time management, or any of the similar, we are going to be labeling it under the mindset category. It is a state of mind that allows you to accomplish the things you want to accomplish. Without the proper mindset is hard to get anywhere in life.

So, when we are talking about mindset we are talking about a bunch of different things. It is basically all of the self-development type of things, but still structured around things that can be controlled within the mind.

You’re going to hear me talking a lot about having a positive mindset. Positivity in my opinion, is the cornerstone to achieving all great things. If you do not go into a situation with a positive attitude, most of the time you’re going to get a negative outcome. So, within this blog and within my teachings you are going to learn how to take those negatives and turn them into positives so you can live a more fulfilled life.
