Hello and welcome to the family category of the blog.
No doubt family is one of the most important things in a person’s life. I was always taught that you put family above all things except for God. When it comes to family you just do not mess around. When a family member calls you lend a helping hand. When a family member needs a shoulder, you lend a shoulder for them to cry on. When a family member needs a friend, you be a friend.
It was ingrained into me from a child, and I firmly believe in what I was taught. Without family we really have nothing. When it is time for us to leave this great earth, it is not all the money we have made we want by our side. It is not all of our worldly possessions and toys we want by our side. It is our family that we want by our side.
That tells you a ton about how important it really is to have a great family. Some of us do not have a big family and that is okay. It is now up to us to make a family. I’m not talking about cranking out babies and things of that nature. 
I’m talking about going out and building a family with friends.
When I use the word “family” I’m not talking about just blood relatives. I’m talking about the people you love in your life.
Usually, when I start talking about family the first challenge that I care about is I do not have any family. Well, I do not let that excuse fly. Family is anybody and everybody that is near and dear to your heart. So, there is no excuse to build a great family around yourself. Whether it be a family of friends, or a family of blood, you need a great family to surround yourself with.
