He Stood There With a Cardboard Sign

When it comes to personal development the vast majority of people get it wrong. They get it wrong because they try to do it themselves. There’s really no such thing as self-help in my opinion. Yes, you are the deciding factor on whether you have a good day or a great day. You are the deciding factor between success and not having success, because ultimately, God gave us the gift of free will. So, if we do not use that free will in a good and great manner then we are not going to get anywhere good or great.

With the help and guidance of prayer, and with God by our side it is very easy to develop yourself personally into an amazing person, fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God. So, it’s not self-help. It’s personal development with the help of God.

This past weekend was our resurrection Sunday celebration (Easter) at our church,Christian Church in The Wildwood. We did what is called a cardboard testimony. It is a pretty neat thing and something awesome to see.

I was fortunate enough to be in that cardboard testimony.

My wife and I show up right about at the three minute mark.

Hopefully this touches your life as much as it has mine. Remember, we can only do so much by ourselves. There is no such thing as self development. But, with the help of God and prayer, personal development is an amazing thing.

PS – keep a lookout for my next post. I’m going to go into a little bit more of the story about what you seen on my wife and I’s cardboard signs.

    Hello Shannon,

I have to applaud you for your willingness to speak of your faith in your business blog. It certainly takes much courage to be willing to open yourself up to the criticism you may receive as a result of sharing this.

    In any event, GOD bless.

      Hey Fred,

My Business is designed around 5 fundamental areas of life… Faith, Family, Mindset, Fitness and Finances.

So, my business model in general opens me up to that criticism. But as the Bible Says in Proverbs 3: 5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will set your path straight.

    Hey Shannon,

Awesome video, I liked it very much. I think that we all have a cardboard sign of our own, we just need to admit to it and commit to our Heavenly Father and endure to the end.

    Amen Brother,

    Chris

      You are very right Chris…

We all have a cardboard sign. That is what makes it so powerful. Thanks for the comment. It definitely takes courage to put yourself out there in front of everyone to see.

Do you know how hard it is to clap and cry? This was amazing. I love it! Praise God for each testimony! He is risen! He is alive. He is my savior! Hallelujah.

    Shannon,

I purchased your course not only to learn how to create blogs to make money and teach others to do the same but also to share the goodness of God. I really enjoyed the video and I am sure any man or woman of faith will enjoy it as well. Just like you I am not ashamed to give God the glory for all He has done in my life.

    Keep up the good work,
    James

      Hey James,

Thank you for your business. In the end it is about giving. Giving starts the receiving process. So, if you give with all your heart, you will see the blessings eventually.

    Incredible! Awesome and inspiring!
Thank you for posting this–we all need a little ‘nudge or reminder’ once in awhile to help us keep going the right direction.

You’re right, some people may be ‘offended’ by you posting this on a business blog…but oh, well! They were warned first so they didn’t HAVE to read it or watch the video.

Hope you don’t mind, I passed the link on to several friends and family.

BTW–I’m practically your neighbor, I live just south of Brooksville.

As I was scanning through your email trying to decide if I should opt-out, just because I get too many emails – nothing personal, I saw the words: “I believe in the power and grace of God. If you do not you
may not want to visit the link below.”
As I believe in the power and the grace of God, and “I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me”, I had to click on the link. I am very glad I did.
I have been seeing more and more people opening up their love for Christ in their emails, and blogs. Isn’t it wonderful?
